The Master’s Degree in Engineering Management is divided into five curricular tracks:

1. Innovation Management (aimed at developing analysis, modeling and evaluation skills of the main phases of the innovation process and entrepreneurial opportunities)
2. Supply Chain Management (aimed at developing specialised competences related to the management of core processes along supply chains).
3. Green and Sustainable Manufacturing Management (aimed at developing skills related to the management of key production systems and process engineering with a green approach and a focus on sustainability objectives
4. Management of Business Data and Information aimed at developing skills related to the management and analysis of company data, with in-depth analysis of techniques and methodologies for collecting, reading, analysing and interpreting data generated by industrial activities)
5. Complex project and process t management (aimed at developing business management and execution skills in complex environments, through the use of project and process management techniques)

The degree course focuses on continuous innovation in teaching methods and on expanding opportunities for collaboration with other universities (both nationally and internationally) and with the business world. Therefore, alongside traditional classroom teaching, there are opportunities for alternative teaching methods based on the organisation of project work, the use of data analysis and processing tools (Matlab, Excel, ERP systems, Python, R) seminars with business experts, on-the-job training through guided internships at local companies, and periods of study abroad, both as part of research experiences and as part of the Erasmus and Erasmus+ programmes.

The course also encourages student involvement in numerous extra-curricular initiatives in order to promote networking among students and their integration in the organisation and coordination of degree programme activities (Management Engineering Christmas brunch, involvement in the organising committees of national and international events, organisational support and involvement in the quality process of the degree programme.

Career prospects for management engineers are wide and varied. Public and private companies, large and small, manufacturing and service providers, are constantly looking for management engineers to fill various roles within their organisations: planning, production, marketing, finance, accounting, logistics and information systems.

Data from Almalaurea surveys: employment rates: approximately 80% of graduates with a master's degree in Management Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II find work within one year of graduation and over 90% within five years. Sectors of employment: the main sectors in which graduates find work are manufacturing (35%), consulting (24%), IT (12%), logistics and transport (10%). Post-graduate mobility: approximately 64% of Federico II Management Engineering graduates work outside the region; specifically, 43% in Northern Italy, 20% in Central Italy and 1% abroad. Gender gap: the number of male and female graduates in Management Engineering at Federico II is almost perfectly balanced (53% male, 47% female), with no significant differences in employment rates or salaries.
