Extramural Internship

In order to undertake an extramural internship, students must first contact a lecturer (who will then act as their university tutor for the internship), the internship committee for their degree course and/or a company or organisation (Italian or foreign) with which they intend to undertake the curricular internship. There are two possible scenarios:

    1. The company/organisation does not already have an agreement governing training projects (see the list available on the University portal). https://allegati.unina.it/studenti/tirocini/doc/ConvenzioniAttive.pdf. In this case, the company/organisation, with the advice of the university tutor (who acts as the proposing reference professor), shall initiate the process of drawing up the agreement in accordance with the instructions published on the page https://www.unina.it/it/visualizzatore?query=/didattica/tirocini-studenti. The agreement proposal, completed in full and digitally signed, must be sent to the certified email address of the Department of Industrial Engineering, indicating the name of the University reference professor (i.e. the university tutor) in the text of the message. After verifying that the information is complete, the Department forwards the agreement to the Internship Office for the Rector's signature; the process takes approximately two weeks. Important: handwritten documents will NOT be accepted.
    2. The company already has an active internship agreement, or the agreement has just been approved following the procedure described in the previous point. In this case, the ‘Training Project’ can be completed on the platform https://collabora.unina.it/ by clicking on the ‘Student Internships’ icon. Then:
      • The student, together with the university tutor and in coordination with the company, fills in the sections relating to the host department/structure, the tutor's details and the internship activity calendar (duration, objectives, methods).
      • Once completed, the tutor indicated on the form receives an email notification of the internship request and approves it.
      • The student forwards the ‘Training Project’ to the company, which affixes a digital signature (Note: the company tutor is not required to sign at this stage).
      • Once the Training Project has been approved by the University Tutor, the student sends it by email to the host organisation; the host organisation signs it digitally and returns it to the Department's certified email address This email address is being protected from spambots.
