Other Knowledge

Starting from the A.Y. 2016/17 for the Bachelor's Degree and from the A.Y. 2017/18 for the Master's Degree, the Study Regulations include 3 CFU for "Other Knowledge" (allocated to the second semester of the third year for the Bachelor's Degree and to the second semester of the second year for the Master's Degree).

These credits can be acquired following the performance of various activities that are organized or recognized by the Degree Program, such as: mini-courses, seminar cycles, initiatives, acquisition of linguistic and soft skills, certified external activities, and lastly, online courses.

These activities, although varied, must be relevant and coherent with the educational path of the Management Engineer and present sufficient intensity in terms of the commitment required of the student.

Some of these "initiatives" have a periodic nature (for example, the annual Accenture initiatives), while others are organized on a one-off basis. The list of recognizable initiatives for the purpose of acquiring the 3 CFU is therefore not static, and students are encouraged to pay attention to the notices in the News section of the website or on other communication channels (Facebook, Telegram, individual professors' websites...).

In some cases, a Certificate is issued to the student at the end of the activity or following the passing of a verification test; in other cases, the issuance of the certificate is not foreseen because the professor responsible for the initiative has agreed with the Degree Program on the transmission of a list of "eligible students."

When can I apply for recognition

Recognition of the 3 CFU can be requested by students once they are enrolled in the second year, whether they are on schedule or behind schedule (fuori corso).

First-year students who have nonetheless acquired certificates that are already recognized or deemed valid for the accreditation of the 3 CFU of Other Knowledge must wait.

The Student Registry Office cannot upload activities to a student's academic record that are scheduled in the Study Plan for an academic year later than the one in which the student is currently enrolled!
