As provided for by the Academic Didactic Regulation of the Master’s Degree Programme in Management Engineering, the study plan includes 3 ECTS credits related to additional language skills (mandatory), to be obtained by demonstrating language proficiency in a European Union language at a minimum B2 level.
In practice, this requirement means that students must demonstrate knowledge of English (or another EU language) at B2 level or higher, either through a recognized language certification or through the assessment procedures organized by the University.
Recognition of previous certifications or assessment with subsequent registration in the student’s academic record takes place during the second year of the degree programme, in accordance with the Academic Didactic Regulation.
In this regard, please note the following:
- Students who already hold an English language (or other community language) certification at B2 level or above, issued by recognized institutions and obtained no more than two calendar years before the date of the recognition request, may apply for verification and possible recognition of the credits through the procedures established by the University Language Centre (CLA). Once the recognition process has been completed, the CLA will communicate the outcome to the Degree Programme Coordinator, and the 3 ECTS credits will subsequently be approved and recorded in the student’s academic career. - Students who do not hold a certification may obtain eligibility by taking the B2 Placement Test, organized by the University Language Centre (CLA) for the assessment of language skills. In particular, students are responsible for booking the test by consulting the examination calendar available on the following platform: https://www.cla.unina.it/placement_test
Students must take the test on the scheduled date. After successfully passing the test, the CLA will communicate the result to the Degree Programme Coordinator, and the 3 ECTS credits will subsequently be approved and recorded in the student’s academic career.
